That's weird because that code comes from GTK+ directly.

If you fetch URLs of the form
http://www.ekiga.net/status/presence.php?user=USERNAME
you get stale data. (At least I get stale data for my user name.)
What is the correct replacement for this service with the new
ekiga.net implementation? Or is this service gone now?
