I even checked with the firewall completely disabled. Same problem: once I
cannot register, restarting Ekiga with either setting at the firewall does not
help. It seems to depend on the phase of the moon.
Learning how to write reliable programs would also be a big step forward ;-)

i am as of now not having any success with ekiga 3.0 on my ubuntu jaunty
system, where 3.0 is the default. can anyone tell me how i can install
the old 2.0.12?
