Well it depends on the type of files he wants to index. I guess he is looking
for PDF, oOo…
I agree with Mark. If you are indexing CSV, JSON files, prefer Logstash.
Hopefully in the future Logstash will be able to do it as well for other file
types.

I am a beginner here.. I just installed elasticsearch on windows and i
added the sense extension for google chrome..
I need to index some files that are present in my local system directory..
I did not install any extension other than sense..
