Hello Elecrafters,
I'd like to take this opportunity to announce that K2 S/N 4473 passed "Test and
Alignment III" tonight at about 10:30 PM EST.
It made it, even though the builder had his head up where the sun don't shine a
couple of times. I relearned a lesson I learned a long time ago, 'It
Thanks to all who answered my last KX1 question.
I have the base unit completed and was going through final alignment and
tests and have a problem. General symptoms are low power output (1.5 W)
and very rough tone on 40M, slightly better tone but low power also on
20M. I have opened a support cas
I'm thinking about using the K2 auto-detect keying feature to allow me to use
the K2's internal keyer and also connect a bug and computer keying interface to
the K2. I'm wondering whether I'm likely to have a problem with spurious long
dashes when using my paddle. I tend to send between 30-40
Speaking of N4PY K2 Control Software, I can't seem to get it to play with Log
Windows version 3.07.34.01. Anyone on the reflector use this combination
successfully?
Thanks & 73,

That's correct, Tom.
I operate 100% in "Split" mode, even for routine, casual operating. It lets
me do ALL of my tuning with the "big knob" without messing about with RIT,
XIT, etc.

Hi
I just had triple bypass surgery so I have put off building or upgrading any
radios for the present other than the one I have already committed to (it is
almost finished anyway). I may get back into it next year sometime. However I
still have a fully loaded K2/100 for sale and a K1 for sale
John,
I click and hold on the "REV" button which will give you VFO B and allow you
to tune to where you want. Releasing "REV" will put you back to split mode.
This is a little faster and sometimes can make the difference. I use this on
my Pegasus (I'm still building my K2) and assume It will wo

Hi Guys:
I am just finishing up my 2nd K2, and I am intrigued by the idea of using

and how one might manage to use the same antenna for transmit and receive
while not feeding high RF from the transmit K2 into the receive K2.
I just built s/n 4426 and it had the Motorola blue colored MPS5179 which
caused my freq counter not to work. Gary at Elecraft quickly identified
my problem when I told him I couldn't get a reading out of TP1 with the
internal freq counter. I was promptly sent replacements and all was FB.

How recent?

Planning to upgrad to the new Sprint III so will pass on my built

It is in the original supplied case and includes all the band
modules 20,30,40 and 80 meters and original "manual on mini CD".
It's in excellent condition with
Great idea Vic ! Over here a 'well behaved' pile up is history, and HOPEFULS
and JAMMERS are the norm. Still think that a properly designed panadapter is
the best tool - but am I a dinosaur?
