Alan and Wayne,
I see you're busy fixing a bug at the moment, but ...
I wonder how high on the priority list is the ability to use the function
buttons on the P3 to send macros to the K3?
Right now I have MEM 0-9 set to BAND SEL. I used V>M to set it up so that I

As a suggestion, it would be nice if the P3 would automatically reset itself

this out, so not sure how feasible this is!).

OK ... never use it with the KRX2. However, it does not cause
the P3 to stop tracking the K3 or cause the markers to stop

Alan,
If you check the K1 schematic, you will find there is already a reverse
polarity protection diode installed. It is D16.
That will not protect the wire, but it will protect the K1.

The Sounds of Silence!
I guess there was no good answer. I will conjecture though that if you use
the Line Out connection to the sound card in your computer, you could sample
the DVR playback with whatever audio recording utility you may have, save it
as a wav file (or whatever) and email that?
Do you have PTT-Key set to dtr-off for a reason? What that means that any
assertion of DTR that comes in on the serial port IS SUPPOSED to place the
K3 in the transmit mode. Turn it off unless you specifically need it for
something specific. 73, Guy.
