Hi Wayne,
Trolling through the emails from various sources, I get the impression that the
KX3 may have a 2M internal module option - in lieu of the ATU.
If that is the case, I have the following questions.
1) Will the 2M module power out be around 5W?
2) Are you considering 2M FM as well as SSB
Guys,
Trying to build K2 Noise Blanker. Have part in kit labeled 6n8J63. Missing
part for C12 (.0068uF Disk or Monolithic Capacitor). Is Elecraft trying to use
this 6n8J63 for C12? I looked up data sheets on the 6n8J63 and it is an
inductor, ceramic prehaps wire wound. This can't be right?
Tom,
In the original release notes for QRQ mode, Wayne stated:
"Note 2: If you use CONFIG:TX DLY to set external keying
delay, you may need to adjust its setting for QRQ CW use. Also,
any increase in the default (8 ms) may decrease the maximum
available CW speed."

I understand that about the HAGC1. Its purpose is to keep the level within
the range of the A to D. If this signal is too big the A to D converter U23

Don,
I suspect that Tom wants to run in CW+ (or QRQ) mode, and I believe in this
mode the TX DLY delay parameter must remain at "8" and this effectively
produces a delay from KEY IN to KEY OUT on the order of 4 to 5 msecs. I
also believe it can not be increased by changing TX DLY?
My guess is
Tom,
I know nothing about that particular amplifier, but I offer a few "in
general" facts.
Pops in the K3 audio while keying an amp could be a sign of "hot
switching" in the amplifier. Try increasing the keying delay in the K3
to see if that eliminates it. If not, check the relay "pull-in
Thanks to NV1B, K9ZTV,VK4FD, W3FPR and to Dick for the quick response. I
just updated the K3 and P3. Now if I could just get DELAY set correct so I

well. It will take me a while to get back into the K3.
Thanks again!

There are several possible causes, so the first thing you should do is
remove the KPA100 completely from the base K2. That will get the output
power down to something more reasonable and allow you to do the
measurements that will eventually lead to tracking down the source.

If so, the audio level is your problem. You can check in TX TEST so you
