When having to deal with multiple USB-to-serial drivers required by different
devices (K3, GPS tracker, RTL-SDR etc.) these 2 utilities by Uwe Sieber

Hi Elecrafters,
Does anyone know if the K3_EZ firmware program
is currently available for download from any
alternate website since the author has
discontinued supporting it?
I have a friend who is a new K3 owner and I would
like him to be able to try it, especially for its
EQ management.
I have built hundreds of K2's and other Elecraft kits. Let me build your
radio. My prices are reasonable and you receive a finished new radio with the
options you want. Please respond off of the reflector. 73AlanW1HYV
I tried that first and the card from Tiger I bought didn't function right, so I
returned it. Although it was just a fluke, in looking for another I found the
Edgeport. I have used this on XP, Win 7 and now Win 8. It's a bit cleaner for

Hi Elecrafters,
is it possible to extend the K3-RX down to 470 kHz by a software update

Hans,
Elecraft has already stated the K3 cannot be extended to 470-KHz
operation. I use mine on 495-510 KHz but
Does anyone have the K3 2-meter option and use a solid-state linear amplifier?
If so, which one. Also, maybe some information on the best to worst in
available 2-meter amplifiers as I have never looked into these before.
And, a friend suggested building my own 2-meter solid-state amplifier.
I've several ZIPped versions; if someone has a site to host 'em, I'll send
'em.
Pls don't ask for individual copies. The emsp bandwidth problem, you know,
thanks.

I've not done so with the Elecraft units, but I own several 2M power
brick amps, and studied the field before buying them. My understanding

Hi Elecraft folks
I have a bunch of MFJ equipment for sale at bargain prices. All equipment is
in full working order, just no longer meeting my needs. As is common for MFJ
equipment it is generally cosmetically in only fair condition. Please

While operating the NAQP SSB last night using my KX3 and properly
configured for KX3 operation, I noticed an error message of sorts. It
appeared at
the bottom of the Entry Window and said, K3 Sub-Mode PSK-D

operation!

Are you sure the K3 is switched to the right antenna output (ANT1, ANT2)?

Thanks for the replies, some of them most detailed and helpful. For

Right. I would never buy a solid-state amp without full high-SWR protection
