In my view the manual is not wrong in that respect. It tells you to set the TUN PWR menu item to NOR before you start. However, I have always found a different problem. The last step of the procedure tells you to hold TUNE and adjust the menu parameter (WMTR: LP or HP) for exactly 5w or 50w. B

I had been meaning to change the CW pitch on my K3 since I read about it on the reflector a while back. I finally changed it this morning from around 650 or 660 down to 440 Hz. All I can ask is, "Why did I have it at 650 or 660 Hz and why did it take me so long to move it down?!" I'm listening
