contact you on this. Sorry I can't help but I run a KPA500 sometimes and a

I just purchased an SPE 2K-FA linear. I have a cable I bought that is
supposed to have the K3 control the amplifier much like the cable
between the K3 and the KPA-500. The control is not working.
The linear manual is a bit lacking in clarity on the matter of the
cable, and I find a lot of conf

What is super, ultra, incredibly cool is this: since they are using Elecraft gear and I am
in California, this means that there is a chance...that I can work them on SIX METERS!

In my view the manual is not wrong in that respect. It tells you to set the
TUN PWR menu item to NOR before you start.
However, I have always found a different problem. The last step of the
procedure tells you to hold TUNE and adjust the menu parameter (WMTR: LP or
HP) for exactly 5w or 50w. B

I have a K3 with a second receiver that I use rarely but I enjoy having it for

Thank you for your guidance! It turned I had a short to ground at R88 and 2.7K
resistor at R89 from the UN-PCB supplement. While I know it is common to place
parts incorrectly, I was glad not to have made the mistake of simply not

I had been meaning to change the CW pitch on my K3 since I read about it

around 650 or 660 down to 440 Hz. All I can ask is, "Why did I have it
at 650 or 660 Hz and why did it take me so long to move it down?!"
