Thanks for your good counsel; I do appreciate your taking the time to help.
I’ve solved the problem but in a way that defies explanation.
On a hunch I decided to reload the F/W in the KX3. I know that was up to date,
but because I use the KXPA PC connection to connect the
Hi Mike,

those items would get free ground shipping to North America and that we would

I would guess that you have a piece of coax and/or connector going bad.
Will be something common in the path from amp to antennas, including a

I think that they will adjust your shipping charge when your order is
processed. The following is shown on the Elecraft website under Black Friday
Sale: "Free Ground Shipping on these items anwhere [sic] in North America.
Shipping cost will be reduced at the factory after order is placed"

I went online this evening to order some items for the Black Friday price. It
says free shipping in North America but in the checkout I am being charged
46.00 for shipping? I'm in Canada and that's North America so how is the
shipping free??

I know about the menu item, of course, but I got tired

Hello Scott:
It depends upon which way you have the paddles "pointed", to the left or to
the right. That reverses the dot and dash paddles.
To get the dot and dash functions on the desired paddles once you have them
positioned as you like, just enter the MENU and select INP, then choose

Naw...
It's a simple menu choice totally unrelated to wiring or the owners' genetics.

I find the following to work for me.
Set computer output level to about 50%. Now check radio ALC with K3(s) in TEST
mode. Observe adjustment of rig to 4bars solid and fifth flashing. If computer

I keep it on the left side so I can keep my right hand on the key or mouse.

the default setting was that the paddle was pressed to the LEFT for

way most people wire their paddles, as far as I can tell. I'm

David,
I thought I would share the following. I have been using a narrow gaming

I recently replaced my K3 with the K3S. I was able to run all the utilities
