You mention that you ran the "KAT500 Configuration Software" but you didn't say that you tried to reload the firmware. Have you tried to RELOAD the firmware? If you didn't reload the firmware, then I would suggest that you give that a try. 73, Ken K3IU ~~

[Elecraft] KX3 Speech Compressor
