I like all three for different reasons. The CM-500 is comfortable, and has the
best mic boom, it has an enormous output from the electret mic — nearly too

The way to do is is actually quite simple:
Loosen the three screws then pull the old cushion off; Do Not Remove the screws.
Take the new ear cushion and Stretch the part that will go in the slot
Then working quickly (before it stretches back) work it into the open slot.

Also, the woodworker's mantra is "you can never have too many clamps" -
I have often found that is true.

I found it rather difficult to install replacement ear pads on the
CM-500. It seemed I did not have enough hands to hold all the parts
together when trying to align things and reinstall the 3 screws.

I solved the CM-500 pad wear problem by getting some black Geekria cloth
covers from Amazon. They fit snugly around the pads. On the right side
the top of the cover tended to slide down until I got out a needle and
thread and tied the edges together on the outside of the headset, just

Scatter with FSK144.
Due to the transient nature of Meteor Scatter bursts/pings, the best AGC
setting is OFF, as the AGC would flatten the signal, potentially impacting
