Hello Eric,
It's in theKPA100 manual, at the back under Specifications:
DC relay coil pulled to ground
1A at 200 VDC (do not use with AC-controlled relay)
P59 in my book, which I just noticed, comes right after p62.

Thanks! That is where I sent my email asking for help. For right now I
have put my Kenwood TS-590sg in place of the K3, driving my KPA500 with
Kat500. Took some fiddling with the KRC2 setup to get it to follow the
Kenwood instead of the K3

I have a problem with my K3, only 60-70 watts out, even after
calibration on 5 and 50 watts. This is the first time I have had a
problem with the K3, after years of good operation. I emailed support
over a week ago and called them on the phone last week, still have not
heard anything.

That's simply a rewording of what I said to describe the science.

Oh, thank you!
I'm hoping the KX3 (and presumably KX2) can get a little love in a year or
two when things with the K4 have settled down.
I *love* this radio, but I've got a few UX nits I'd like to add to that
list.

Hi,
Is there a chance the SMTR MD menu item on the KX3 will eventually be
implemented? I'd like it to be able to measure the background RF noise at
my (dense urban) QTH without having to turn the preamp off or subtract that
20 dB out.
Thanks,
Julie
