After putting up a new antenna for the WARC bands, I noticed that the
signals on the 12M band
on the KX3 seemed kind of muted and decided to check the sensitivity
with the signal generator.
Pre-amp on the KX3 was set to 20 dB for S9 with a signal of -73 dBm on

that is used in the K1. It is the 2 pin female connector that plugs into the

settings. Do you have the coax and dummy load connected directly to the K3?
Trade out the short jumper to the dummy load to assure yourself it is good.

I think the only thing that is for sure is that this is very poorly documented.
The schematic shows two resistors, the assembly manual shows one, and the
correct value of the one (by my measurement) is unknown. Whether or not it is,
or isn't, used is another unknown. It seems to me that
