That is your computer waking up its com ports. To turn it off, go in to
Device Manager and select that port:
Properties > Port Settings > Advanced.
Uncheck Serial Enumerator. Check Disable Modem Ctrl At Startup.
That should do it (for a Windoze machine).

Is there any interest in a K3/0 (not the mini) with Elecraft hand mic, a
RemoteRig RRC1258MkIIs with wifi option (remote end only) and power supply? I
currently do not have the RRC1258 that goes at the transmitting site. This is
