Propagation was better than I had expected. On twenty meters QSB
was only present on the eastern-most stations. On forty meters there
was more QSB on most everyone. Noise was low so it was easier to copy
weak signals. When there are collisions I depend on a letter or two t

40M SSB Net is at 1900 UTC, which is currently 2pm EST, on 7.280 MHz
80M SSB Net is at 2100 EST, which is currently 0200 UTC, on 3.775 MHz

Get one with the FTDI chipset and you should be OK. There are others,
but do not buy one with the Prolific chipset.

Erik WB9JNZ was off flying his R/C planes but we carried on. Band conditions
were good with John in CA hearing Peter in New Zealand on his doublet. Several
new K4s checked in. We speculated on how long this net has been meeting - Phil
NS7P found paper logs of the net dating back to 2009. Thanks
