[Elecraft] Modifying the AX2

For those of you who have successfully modified the AX2 for a higher band, do you have any tips for disassembly of the coil? Desoldering the top looks like it is easily accessible, but I can't quite tell how to get at the bottom of the coil to desolder it for removal. Is there a simple trick I'm
