Like you I own a K3 and owned and sold a K3S. I also have a KPA500 and KAT500.
I too got tired of waiting for a K4 and bought a TS-890. Elecraft radios taught
me to always have a spare, so considering similar ergonomics, I also acquired a
TS-590. Before all of these I had a Kenwood TS-870 th

Sorry we missed you. I had thought briefly of listening to the Utah

But, considering you are located in Utah, I might be able to p

Good Evening,
Twenty meters was pretty good. Some slow, mild QSB with a little
noise. Forty meters was OK too with a little storm noise. The KH1 was
mentioned but a KX1 checked in from a backyard. Hmm... :) There is room

HI John,
You really should ask this question on the Elecraft-K4 groups.io reflector.
There have been discussions there comparing the K4 to the 890. There are
several on the reflector that have owned both.
You will get a better answer there.
Rob Sherwood is one who has owned or used both and if you
Hi all,
Long time fan of Elecraft, I have a K3s and a KPA1500, both are
currently in service. My primary HF radio is now a TS-890, I bought it
about four or so years ago after giving up waiting on the K4's to be off
the shelf ready to purchase.
So on to my questions about the two rigs. For t

Well,
Somebody got a good deal at the Pacificon flea market this
morning...a K3 with the upgraded synthesizer and also a P3 - for less
than $1200. I was really considering it... But I have so many radios
already, and where would I put it? Actually need to thin the herd :).

Perhaps Al Lorona's message posted September 4th is what you're looking for.
It's in the Elecraft archives at Mailman.qth.net under September 2023. Use the

Hi,
I would really appreciate if the KH1 would have a CW UI like it can be enabled
on the KX2 or KX3.
The user interface of the KH1 seems so well structured and many settings are
available after one or two keypresses, it would really be helpful for visually
impaired operators if a few things

Would someone please tell me how to find the message about the improvised

Alan, G4GNX, it’s not unfair to expect an item purchased from a main dealer

IMO that’s a tad unfair. Shipping is always expensive, regardless of which rig
you buy, unless you live in the country of origin. It just shows up as worse

I agree 100% Dave.
The lack of distribution and service facilities is a major impediment,
especially when considering the high cost of equipment.
I already have an expensive boat anchor sat on my desk (an SPE

Here in the UK, Waters and Stanton sold Elecraft products and provided a
limited level of service. However, W&S are now owned by Moonraker who have
no real service facilities (as far as I know), and neither are currently
listed as distributors on the Elecraft web site.
