[Elecraft] KX3 in a multi-radio environment like FD

I'm considering adding a KXPA100-AT to my KX3 so I can take it to Field Day, etc. Is the KX3 as good as the K3 was in those situations, with multiple radios and antennas in close proximity to each other? Guidance from anyone who has used them in a similar environment would be appreciated! 73 de

It's selectivity and filtering are very solid. For an event like field day, many clubs (mine included) use bandpass filters for each operating station to avoid causing issues with their neighbors. Assuming that you follow that same type of setup, you shouldn't have issues. 73 -- Matt N3AR O

I have a mini-pc running latest version of W11Pro - K3S connecting to it via USB. The PC will not boot with the radio USB cable plugged in; even if the radio is off. With the PC booted up, plug the radio USB in and all works normally. Any advice appreciated - TIA 73 Terry G4AMT _

It might be good enough, but it won’t be as good as a K3. The K3 is a superhet, so the design is naturally more resistant to off frequency signals when compared to a direct conversion receiver. You will want to enable the ISO preamp (isolation). Without that, the KX3 will leak RF at the VFO fre

Thanks Both - tried moving the boot order (no facility to delete); not resolved the issue. The PC boots up fine with the USB cable to the K3S disconnected. Connect the USB cable to the radio - even if powered off - and the PC will fail to boot up. PC is Geekom MiniAir 12 running W11Pro 23H2. Wor
