I agree with Rick just keep the drive power to the minimum needed to get the 500 watts out. Over driving will do nothing but distort the signal and most likely eventually damage the amp. I use 18 to 20 watts to get 500 out on 160 mtrs and a bit more to get same results on the higher bands. Bruce

will go to fault. Try starting with a lower drive of 12 to 15 watts for the first pass with the auto tuner. Oh and be sure the RF CONNECTORS ARE ALL GOOD AND TIGHT.. A POOR CONNECTION OR A BAD CONNECTOR WILL CAUSE A FAULT WHEN HIGH WATTAGE IS APPLIED. Bruce WW8II On Thu, Jan 24, 2019 at 10:30 PM
