I am only a casual SSB operator, The K3 is a great radio for anyone. Tech
support is the best. One of the great things about the K3, is that you don't
need to worry about next week the K4 will be out and 6 months
the K5 and so on. They keep making the K3 best with updates for everyone.

I would just like to share with everyone. When I did a upgrade to Mountain
Lion, my PL-2303 driver did not work. The only drivers that I found that worked
were from this web site.

Mike, That was one thing I did not like on the K3. Other than setting up the EQ
to filter out the highs. The fix that I did was to use a bigger 10 in speaker
with more bass. All the smaller speakers will pick up the hiss that will drive
you nuts. With the bigger speaker it has a nice bass sound
I would just like to add one thing. I switched over to a Mac book pro intel
duel core, 5 years ago. I just installed Mountain Lion about 2 weeks ago. (
only because I wanted to.)
I always skip a year on upgrades. So I went from Snow to Mountain Lion.

I think that if Elecaft made a K4 that will do what the Kenwood radios will
do.(UHF,VHF,1.2,SAT and so on) This will take away from what the K3 is all
about.

It's funny what can happen just in shipping.
I had a friend build me a repeater with a controller and shipped it to me. When
I got it I had to reprogram the controller.
I know not the same as a K3, But things happen.

LSB. How do I save the LSB mode in this band?

elecraft. Plus he is telling me I would be better off to buy a $1400 kenwood
that had everything. I think the quality and support of elecraft is far best of
any radio out there.
