Just use the IF shift/bandwidth commands with a little math. I think that's
intended.

My K3 is for sale (I'm now the proud owner of a K4). Rig works great. It's a
100W model, with the KSYN3A synthesizer upgrade (K3S) and the KIO3B USB
CAT/Soundcard (also from the K3S). It has the KXV3A transverter module as well
as 5 filters: 2.7khz, 2.4khz, 500hz, 400hz and 250hz. Sale is for
I have got a k144xv transverter and fm filter that I was going to install for
vhf contesting and wound up with another option in the shack before I could get
this installed.
k144xv - $375/shipped (48 states)
fm filter - $125/shipped (48 states)
Paypal preferred.

The reasons to get a K4D over a K4 I think are only:
1) You need diversity receive.
2) You need to receive on two frequencies on different bands while still
having bandpass filters engaged (the K4 can receive on 2 separate bands at
once, but it has to bypass bandpass filters).

If you get the model with the roofing filters, it is actually a better
receiver than the k3 in a multi transmitter environment. With good antenna
separation you can run a k3 on the cw portion of the band and another on
the ssb portion without an issue.

My personal opinion is that it's not a real thing (at least not as enough
volume to matter). If it really bothers you, get some of those void
warranty stickers so you know if the radio has been opened.

Yes that does work.

If it's just for the KX3, I recommend:

It has 3 antenna connections, not 4. It grounds the unused ones and selects
antenna 1 on power-off. I put my dummy-load on antenna 1 so my station is
disconnected from the antennas when powered down.
