I have had trouble with my K3 front phone plug since it was about two months
old. Usually I have to jiggle my headset plug to get audio in my headset. The
jack seems to be at a place hard to get to.

I also got one of the Pro 7s. Up until now I have been strictly CW and
this is my first venture into voice. There are suggested DSP settings
for Elecraft, but nothing else. I had to set my MAIN: MIC SEL to high to
get an output; I don't know if that is correct or not. I am still playing

I was wondering the same thing. I plan on lending out my K3 for Field Day and
was hoping that there would be a way of locking everything except for the band.

I've been having a similar problem with my front headphone jack. When I plug
in my headphone sometimes there is an attenuated signal also coming out of my
external speaker. If I jiggle the headphone plug I get get the speaker to
eventually go off. I do have the K3 configured to disable the sp
A while back some one said they had one RCA speaker and was looking for
another for stereo operation. I have one that he can have. If you are
still interested please email me.

I get you Gary. I've been a ham for almost 30 years and have gone though a few
radios. For me the K3/P3 is the best radio I've ever had and the most fun
since I first got started.
But being a SDR, it is the most touchy. I didn't have it a couple of days when

That was it? Must have held the SUB button in too long.
Thanks

On my K3, VFO B frequency is changing as I change VFO A on 14 and 18 MHZ
bands. The change is the same on both bands. I can change VFO B's
frequency without VFO A moving.
I am not in SPLIT or SUB.
Any ideas why?

I did a master reset (by mistake) and think I have everything back to normal
(didn't have a config back up) except that when I use the 500 and 250 filters I
lose the signal, but hear an attenuated noise. I added a couple of dB gain to
the filters but that doesn't help.
Any ideas?
