I agree with the comment to call Elecraft and take exception to Geert's
comments.
There are other carriers besides the US Postal Service. From my experience
shipping hundreds of parcels from the US to the UK is that the USPS
contracts with a commercial provider in the UK (vs the Royal Post), and
I disagree with Rick. It is true that modern houses have more electric
capacity. But as homeowners shift to more efficient appliances and
lighting, electric loads (and bills) are consistently dropping. The one
trend that counters that though is that modern homes (at least in the US)

I'd like to offer the "correct" info about tax reporting. I am a
professional tax preparer and make my living understanding the correct
nuances of the US tax code. I also have an eBay store, so I have used
PayPal for many years. I prefer it for my own purchases and for those who
buy my product.
I opened my KX3 and measured the current draw on my internal Eneloop
batteries while the radio is off. That current is 60 microamps. At that
rate, my 2000mAh batteries will completely drain in roughly 3 years, 9
months.

Is the Windom in your attic or outside? My guess is that your antenna is
parallel to the house wiring, and is inducing a current on the ground or
neutral wire. A replacement AFCI breaker might fix the problem. Or a
heavy choke on the AC.
