Hope this is OK to post here. If not, please let me know.
I found the thread on binaural / simulated stereo post-processing interesting.
Seems like an area worth exploring.
Did some reading. Good search terms are "simulated stereo", "haas delay",
and { stereo "comb filter" }.

My YF, the beader extraordinare, reading over my shoulder, says that

She says that the secret to finding small parts imbedded in deep carpet

You've gotten plenty of good advice, and one of the best pieces of advice
was Don's suggestion to make the antenna a bit longer than the ~66 ft
required for a resonant half-wave dipole on 40 meters. As Don mentioned
making the antenna longer will make it easier to tune on 20 and 10

Hi Manfred,
Re-check the denoiser, autonotch, and filter gain settings in table #7
on page 37 of the KDSP2_A1 manual, and set your K2 to the default
settings shown in table #7.
If the problem is still there,, you might try reducing denoiser
SSB gain and / or SSB filter gain below the default set

I am often having to get a relay working at QRP levels.
Is there any reason not to use an outboard keyer (older Idiom K-3)
to key the Titan via its KEY IN jack and then use the TenTec's KEY OUT

Hi Keith,
The first thing I tried was the finger dimple - didn't like it because I
usually tune by rotating my finger around the outside of the knob.
I ordered another stock knob -- it has a rasp-like front edge that didn't
make for comfortable tuning.
I ground off the raspy edge using the "s
Hi Robert,
I have a MacMini - OSX 10.4.6 with dual Keyspan USB/serial ports and an
older RIGblaster.
I use MacLoggerDX on one serial port for logging and rig control and
Cocoamodem/CocoaPTT on a separate port for PSK. MacLoggerDX is a
fine piece of software -- It is versatile and full-featured,

Doh!
After cutting the PC's software gain control to near-minimum, it does
appear that most if not all of the odd-harmonic distortion was due
to overdriving the soundcard. To make certain, I will repeat the

I have been thinking that the receive audio from my K2 (#4314) was just
OK, especially on CW when compared to other rigs including a Drake R8
and a K1. It's not terrible by any means, just not as good as it might
be.
Today I fed an S9 CW signal into Spectrogram and find that its third audio

Hi Roger,
Here's the drill you need. I assume you're in CW mode in the
text examples given below. You'll see something slightly different
if you're in USB or SSB mode.
1. Tap DISPLAY to enter the first DSP menu.
In CW mode, you'll see something similar to[ C1 nr ] or [ C# nr ]

Hi Grif -
This is an interesting idea, but when I try to sketch out the schematic, it
looks
a little odd to me.
The Par transformer is either a true, flux-coupled transformer with a ground
return connecting the ground sides of the primary and secondary windings, or
it's an autotransfomer with

My experiences are with K1, not KX1 but may generalize if I can
manage to keep the form factor in mind. Also I use 18650 Li-Ion
cells but use figures for 14500 cells below, as 18650s are too
big for this application.
As others have mentioned, these cells require a specialized
