[Elecraft] strange keyer problem (#5670)

When I switched from straight key to my paddles, I found one side of the paddles would not work (in my case the dits). I checked the continuity of the paddles-to-plug and that's ok. I suspect the jack itself, but here's the strange part: I can make characters with dot insertion (G, Q, 9, etc.) but

All, I haven't seen many reports back from the EQP. How did you do? I had #5670 operating park bench portable with a random wire in the trees. While doing a good job promoting amateur radio, I did not make any EQP QSOs! I was able to make several Qs with stns in the OKQP so I know I was getting

I recently discovered that my external speaker fails to work after pulling out my headphones. I checked the resistance of the speaker and it reads 8 ohms, and the DC voltage across the plug (P5) is almost nothing. The DC voltage out of the audio amp U9 (Pin #6) reads 13 volts. R35/36 should be ok

[Elecraft] HI CUR on 15 meters

I get a HI CUR warning on 15 meters when connected to my 40 meter dipole. I can only run about 7 Watts before the limit (2.5 amps) is reached. I am getting full output (12 Watts) and about 2.25 amps draw when the dummy load is connected. My SWR is ok on 15--about 1.4:1--and I am getting out ok.

I'm using a new Astron RS-20A. I used it during the build/test phase and now operating. It is overkill for the stock K2, but when I eventually build the amplifier, I'll need it. I know lots of guys use gel-cell batteries to power their K2s. Maybe somebody more knowledgeable about the K2s power
