I have just bought the P3-kit to work with my K3 S/N 23xx.
According to the P3 manual, the Male – Female DE-9 cable
should be connected between the XCVR connector and K3:s
rear panel RS232 connector.
My present setup for the K3 is with Microkeyer2 as I am
working a lot of contests using N1MM+
During the ongoing All Asia Contest, after a few hours of sleep, I started to
call Cq on 20m using my Acom 1000+ K3 at 50 W.
After about 20 minutes I noticed ERR 12Volt and the power went down to 5 W so I
switched off the K3 and power supply.
After some 15 minutes of thinking I restarted the

When started I got some Err message and the Tx lamp blinked and the K3 screen
darkend. I tryed to
switch the power off on the K3 but it did not work so I paniced and switched
the power supply off.

I suppose I will have to order the KUSB-cable from Elecraft.

I want to use my K3 in CW-contests using N1MM software.
I am using a HP-Laptop with Windows XP and the Elecraft KUSB USB to serial
converter.
When working CW I am using my Bencher manipulator connected to the K3.
How do I get the N1MM program to send CW
Using my K3 in a portable/mobile operation with the radio connected to the 13.8
car-battery I made a follish misstake
and reversed the polarity. Result: Dead rig.
I suppose no one out there have made the same misstake but perhaps someone
knows what I should do to get
the rig back and functioning
