You will also have to have a logging program running to poll the radio for
frequency as the cable to
the sd100 only has the receive line.
This prevents collisions at the rs232 port.

I've had this launcher for about 4 years and shot a lot of lines for myself and
friends. It is the
best, very accurate (relatively speaking) and if I miss the neighbors roof
isn't in danger (arrows
or lead sinkers)

Are you using the SteppIR Y cable? The SteppIR should only be receiving no
connection to the TX
line. All polling for freq has to be by the logging program.

Look at Kessler Engineering' CX-Auto (and add on for the AT-Auto Palstar) 8
outputs controlled by
the tuner. Or remember back to the Alpha DAS controlled by the 87A and 3rd
party relay boxes, up to
36 antennas.
I agree with Eric get the cables out of the shack.

When I built my K3 I went to the craft store and bought a plastic box with the
dividers. I have an
Dymo label printer and printed out a label for each screw and put it in the
divider with each size
screw. Worked well
I also picked up several of the magnetic dishes from Harbor Freight, these

It came in on the cable and I'm not sure about the AC, it was selective on what
it effected.
I'll look into the whole house surge protector.

You will need the AD-1 K for the K3 (same pin out as Kenwood).
The headphones are stereo and will work for dual reception PLU
they have our exclusive Phase Reversal. Great match for the K3

I'm hoping somebody has done what I have to do.
I have to send my new K3 to the Elecraft Dr.
Since its assembled (100 wt and sub receiver not installed yet)and no box, I'm
thinking of generous
amount of bubble wrap box then in another box with peanuts.
Does this sound ok?

I just got back to the Frost Fest and played with a K3 I'm 95% sure I'm going
buy a K3. I want to
start and build. I have to start with the K3/100 as 10 watts won't drive my
amp. I have a SteppIR
so the tuner isn't needed. My question what is the minimum filters. I don't do
