Is their an easy way to tell if a KX3 has the 2 meter module in it without

I operated qrp exclusively for 25 years or so chasing DX and I also never
liked hearing the qrp tag on the end. To me, it was a way of trying to get
special treatment - sort of like cheating to me - and I never did it. The

Not too hard on the books I order, but tough on radio stuff and other

How about a possible break-out type box to incorporate switches so we can
plug the kX3 in more neatly, since many of us use it as the main rig? That
way we could switch modes, etc. by flipping switches instead of
unpluggin/plugging cables. If used in the field too, just unplug and go.

My only issue is that while I surely admire the K3 and K3s, I'm really only
interested in the posts on the KX so I do a lot of deleting also. This is a
marvelous list and one of the few where there is no doubt an answer will be
forthcoming from either a member or Eric. Wish it was a little more

I use USPS most of the time, UPS very occasionally. Had to use Fedex
recently to ship the manuscript for a novel to my editor. One small box
containing 400 sheets of paper. Almost a hundred dollars to New York to get
there overnight and it barely made it there on time. Never again.

While I am seriously looking at the KX3 to become the main station
here, and I completely agree about the bird guys, they certainly aren't
the majority of us who operate at low power.
I've used both the 817 and the 703, and in 37 years as a qrper, I've
