I am considering the Elecraft modification to the KBPF3 for 630m coverage on my
K3. Is there any information published on the band pass filter performance
before and after the modification?
If the KBPF3 modification compromises performance elsewhere in the coverage, I
might be better off using
I've seen a couple of old posts concerning the addition of a 10 MHz IF for use
with the K3 (and KXV3 option). Is this upgrade being worked at Elecraft? I
operate my K3 using an external 10 MHz frequency reference. The 10 MHz IF
capability would allow use of the same external 10 MHz reference as
A clarification is in order concerning my earlier post. If not already
available, I am requesting a K3 firmware revision that adds the selection of a
10 MHz IF for transverter operation (via the XVn IF CONFIG menu selection).
In my application this added selection would allow use of the same

is designed to protect 160m operations from BC band interference) the K3
features that support use of transverters make this rig one of the best for use
as an IF. There are separate ports and electronic switching for
I'm using my K2 with a recieve converter for the 600m band, currently
interfaced via the receive antenna port. I recently installed the K60XV
accessory to my K2 in preparation for use of the K2 as the IF on both transmit
