[Elecraft] Overload concern between a K3 and a K4 using Alpha Delta Coax Delta-4 Switches

Hello, I've got the Alpha Deltas connected together in the COM position so that I can use any radio with any antenna. With the K3 on 40 and the K4 on 20, I see nothing on the Panadapter of the K4 while doing an ATU tune on the K3 or even key down putting out 100 watts. The Delta-4 switches are

I saw nothing mentioned on the order form--but Fred Cady, KE7X says, "To upgrade a K3/10 to a K3/100, order and install the KPA3A amplifier module. You may have to do some modifications to the RF board during installation. If the final transistors in a KPA3 fail, you may have to replace it with

Was on 40 meters trying but unable to zerobeat a CW carrier with my K3, and noticed that the gradations in tone from this signal were not continuous but were in intervals. QSY'd to 20 and the signals were OK, and when coming back to 40, was able to spot tune a CW signal. This is an intermittent
