[Elecraft] P4 on K2 Control board

Page 17 in the K2 manual describes where to solder P4 , which is to the left of P5. Are the Long pins inserted into the PCB board or are the short pins inserted like P5. The manual , I think, does not describe this in detail. Thanks, Steve KQ4UB ___

Being fairly new to the building of kits and with successful completion of the KX1 , I find myself confused again over the chart on page 20 of an earlier revision of K2 manualIm not sure I understand the "signal name" column and specifically dealing with Q1 collector with a signal name of 8T

Front board is complete and on page 27 of the K2 manual all of the U1 pins check within limits as well as the ground points at J1 pin 8, and J1 pin 20. Also pins 15 thru 19 of J1 check out good too. My question is that I am using a Fluke 87IV and when I check the remaining pins with supposed
