[Elecraft] Signal Generator

Any suggestions or recommendations for a Sig Generator used for applications such as tracing as described in Appendix E of manual or at elecraft's site. I am aware of the simple oscillator with 10MHZ crystal that is described after the Sig tracing section of appendix. I have found that the

I am at the point where the first check of the front and control panels check out OK and all seems good but I was wondering how others attached the minature coax to the banana plugs for the RF Probe construction. It looks as if one would destroy the plug as the hole where I think you solder is

[Elecraft] K2 LCD Errata

I am at the point of mounting the diffuser and the LCD and have read carefully the ERRATA REV. E-6 Nov. 14 , 2003 and understand that the front protective film is to be removed at a later step. My question is with the back of the LCD , which appears to all white on mine. I not sure where the

[Elecraft] RE:K2 resistance check charts

Being fairly new to the building of kits and with successful completion of the KX1 , I find myself confused again over the chart on page 20 of an earlier revision of K2 manualIm not sure I understand the signal name column and specifically dealing with Q1 collector with a signal name of 8T.

I must not hve the latest version of K2 manual ( Revision E , Feb , 16,2003) but again I need some more detail explanation as to the Jumper that is install on the bottom of the control board at the J1 and J2 area which I understand is part of the audio upgrade after testing the basic K2. Do

[Elecraft] P4 on K2 Control board

Page 17 in the K2 manual describes where to solder P4 , which is to the left of P5. Are the Long pins inserted into the PCB board or are the short pins inserted like P5. The manual , I think, does not describe this in detail. Thanks, Steve KQ4UB
