I have got to admit I enjoy the top band contest maybe the most of all of
contests out there. Lots of great ops with good ears for us qrp'ers. I ran a
K2 with a double bazooka @ 40 feet. 3rd place 492 q's and a low 57 sections
so I guess I may have to dig deeper for some multipliers.

I am usually about 3/4 open on my KX1. Full volume would ruin my other ear.
I use an off brand earbuds with good level sound.
I absolutely love my KX1

Yes that 30-80 module was a bit tricky but was nice to have. I have about
69ma on 80 meters in receive but not sure what to advise. There are some
pretty sharp guys on here that may have some ideas but thought I'ld let you
know what readings I had.

Mine has done that all along so I assume it's the norm. All is working fine,
just need the band to open up a bit.
I put the 80-30 mod on mine, also like the paddles even though some say they
don't.

Just had a nice qso on 40 meters and got to resetting my rit to clr and
found in the regular receive mode I got a SCn on the display where it took
off and scanned up the band. I thought , cool, another neat function till I
stopped it by touching the key, al
Forgot to mention I get the SCn with rit off and push and hold the rit
button.
