The K2
I'll have to go along with K3KO; I tried to opine the same thought through
Nabble and it was never posted. Three of the most voracious modes, spectrum
wise, are FM, AM, and most anything digital, in that order. Spectrum is and
has been a premium for amateurs. It may be more so in the future.
If one is a CW only operator, this is a non-issue. I ordered the 1 KHz, 400
Hz, and 250 Hz 8 pole filters as I fit in the CW only category. The 2.7 KHz
filter is the default and is fine with me.
All the Elecraft radios are marvelous CW machines. It is a wonder to me
that most of the comment
For more than twice the price, the Pro III should be a little better than a
K2. But which K2; every K2 is a little different depending on the skills of
the builder. I'll take my K2 over a PRO III, maybe even a 7800. The K3 is
still less expansive than the PRO III, too.
