When I switch to CW the signal that was an S9 in SSB is now only an
S1-3. Weak signals disappear. I've set the filters centered on the 600
Hz side tone and when the signal is dead center is when it's S1-3. I've
tried reverse CW and it's the same. Is there a problem or is this
normal? Right now I do

1. When doing the S meter cal do you have the 'pre-amp' on or off? 'AGC'
on or off? Why I'm asking is that the meter never seems to respond
correctly. Even when using the 50uv source it's impossible to get an S9.

I finally received authorization to operate here in A6 land and had my
first contact. I was on the way out of the door heading for work and
heard A41RS on and believe it or not he heard me call him! Of course
he's right next door so it wasn't real hard to make contact. He was 59

I was wondering if anyone know if the KAT100 will work with the 6meter
transverter?
The specs don't list a frequency range.

Since everything but the BFO was working I decided to finish wiring the
radio. Everything went down hill from there. At phase II all the control
functions worked perfectly but now the transmitter parts are in the

What I've done so far:
Checked for correct components - OK
Checked for correct orientation of parts - OK
Checked solder connections - OK
Checked for solder bridges - None found
Checked L33 - OK -Good continuity and no damage vis
