[Elecraft] XV Transverter: what can it do?

This is a stupid question, I am sure. I have a loaded K2, and wanted to add more, so I’ve been trying to figure out what an XV Transverter (144) is for.I have looked on Elecrafts site for a good description of what I can do with an XV Transverter, but have not found it. I have looked for in
