[Elecraft] [K2] KXV60 Transverter In and Out connectors - BNC v. RCA

2010-10-22 Thread Gary Marklund

I used RCA connectors. Over the years I've used RCA connectors without issue up through 30 MHz, which are the frequencies involved in transverter service with the K2. Sure, there might be a little 'impedance bump' - particularly up on the higher frequencies - but it's inconsequential in this app

Go for the RCAs so you can still remove the top easily. At 28MHz (practically DC - it is 10m wavelength for goodness-sake) you don't need to worry about the mismatch for this application. That is what I did - it looks neat and stops you from confusing them with the KAT2 BNCs. Mike -- View this

Thank you for your comments. You have convinced me to go with the RCAs. 73, Gary KJ7RT Sun City, AZ Fists #14460 NAQCC #3709 > __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.ne
