I noticed this for the first time in the 160M contest last night. It almost
sounds like aurora or a faulty relay at the transmit station. I switch to
the RX ant and everything was fine. I used my beverage a lot even to the USA
because of this. I found that when I had a chance to reboot the K3 the
Oops. I managed to get throught the snow to inspect my vertical and found
the connection to the feedpoint was broken off and barely touching the
bottom of the radiator depending on the whim of the wind.
Hoping for a big improvement tonight.
