Elecrafters,
i control a 6*2 switch via a remoteqth.com Band Decoder II using RS-232
sniffing mode. Not happy with that. I like to switch to Band Data output
from the 15-pin sub-D ACC connector, but am a bit confused.
The band decoder manual shows connections labeled BCD-1 through BCD-4.

Steve,
I am not familiar with the Acom amp and its needs, but if it needs 4
discrete band data lines, those are available on the ACC connector. See
the K3S manual for the pins.
The only lines on the RS-232 line (or USB) are RXD, TXD and Signal
Ground, and band data is present on the communi

I have an SPE 1K-FA and my K3 switches bands with no mods, just a cord. The
band data is available on the 15 pin D Shell connector on the back. My
TS-480SAT has some issues but does most of the functions. I don't know, but
suspect that the 1.3K works like the 1K.

Is it possible to pull band data off the KX3 and send it to the KAT500 so
it will follow the radio?
Thanks, Dan
