When I purchased my K2 a year ago I also purchased a K6XX CW Tuning Indicator. I built the indicator but never installed it in my radio. Now, after using the K2 for a number of months, I find that I am able to zero-beat by ear without any trouble so I'm not going to use the tuning indicator.
This indicator is specifically designed for use in a K1, KX1, or K2, but it can also be used in many other rigs. It can light-up the 10th bar of the K2's bargraph or it can be used with a separate LED (included). It also includes the resistors needed for the "false flash" mod for the K2. You can find complete details at http://www.n3epa.org/Pages/K6XX/K6XXCWIndicatorKit.htm. I have previous experience with SMD work and believe that my construction was perfect but it has never been installed in a rig for actual testing. If purchased from the Eastern PA QRP Club the unassembled indicator and false-flash mod would cost $29. I will wrap it in some padding, put it in a large envelope, and mail it to a US address for $24. (I'll pay the postage.) If you are interested, please contact me off the list and we can work out the details. 73, Paul - N8XMS Livonia, MI ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
