They have done both at Dayton every year I have been there. Do not know
how many of the big kits they have there. But I have bought some of the
small items and ordered big ones from their booth. And gotten to see all
the radios.

Note that the KPA800/1500 was first shown with the K2, and was closely

It would work well with the K2, but it was designed to work with other
popular rigs from ICOM, Yaesu, Kenwood, etc. as well. It is not 'closely

Of course! Too much blood in my caffeine stream. But if there were, say, a
convenient attenuator pad that could

I would like to monitor two portions of 20m at the same time...
I assume that I can use the same antenna for both receivers?
Yes, at least with the KAT3 installed. I've not looked at a K3 +KRX3
configuration without a KAT3.

OK, I understand (just)!
I guess I'll bite the bullet and pay for one on Monday - I would like to
monitor two portions of 20m at the same time. Currently using my very
capable TS-480SAT on 20m PSK / RTTY, must crank up the K3 :-)

An S9+60db signal on the main receiver is not heard at all on the sub
receiver at all.
Erm - can you give an example? My tired brain doesn't understand.
A really strong signal being received on one receiver does not "bleed
through" to the other receiver, even though they share the exact same

Hi Everyone,
I got back from Dayton late last night after seeing all the sights at
the Hamvention including the 'Three Amigos of Ham Radio' (You have to
have seen them to believe it! Dressed in full Mexican garb!) and Steve
with the 'Helmet Tower'. Lots of fun.
The Elecraft booth was a wall
Sorry folks for the 'fat-finger' on the keyboard - that should have been

Julius,
It is a good guess that the new QRP amp will be there on display, along with
all the other gear. The booth is larger than before so that will be nice.
You can come and watch me build my KX1 - I will be there with a live
building demo at the booth, I just arranged that with Wayne and Eric
Good Morning,
I was wondering, will there be anything special
happening at the Elecraft Booth at Dayton? New secret
weapons, closeout specials on the K3, 20Kw amplifiers?
Or will it just be friendly business and kinship with
the best rig owners in Hamdom?
Cheers,
Julius
