Dan, The K2 BNC jack will have a DC path to ground whether the K160RX is installed or not. It is not "ground" for RF, but will show a low DC path to ground if you measure it with your DMM. If you disconnect lead 3 or 4 of T4, the DC short to ground will go away. 73, Don W3FPR On

Need a bit of help here-I’ve installed the 160 receive module on my venerable K2 #1010 which I built back in 2000..for some reason I seemed to have created a short across the main antenna jack (J4) with this installation. In testing after Installation the reciever was totally deaf as was TX,

I added 160 to my K2 last week. I am very surprised how many QSO's I have had on that band while only running 10 watts. The antenna is just a 80 meter Carolina Windom with the coax shorted and fed as a single wire. Built in tuner shows a 1.2:1 match. Been a ham for 57 years and this is my
