Is Tony using the internal speaker? My K2 has lots of volume too, for phones or its internal speaker, but Elecraft uses a fairly efficient speaker in either the QRP or K2/100. Some external speakers are not nearly as efficient. They assume lots of watts of audio are available to drive them.
