I'm using my K2 with a recieve converter for the 600m band, currently
interfaced via the receive antenna port. I recently installed the K60XV
accessory to my K2 in preparation for use of the K2 as the IF on both transmit
and receive on 600m. The problem: I discovered the firmware offers IF band
selection down to 7 MHz. My converter uses a 3.5 MHz IF, a real advantage for
image rejection with the RF input at 505 to 508 kHz. Can anyone on the
reflector describe what may be involved with changing the selections available
with the K60XV? Does it involve a firmware change or is there another
work-around? If a firmware change is needed, how do I go about doing that? Any
help or advice is much appreciated. I plan to use the K2 to operate digital
modes under the 600m experimental license, WD2XSH/12.
