It was a while ago when I did mine, but I recall only having to remove the
front panel assembly. The headphone jack was right there on the left of the
main board looking at the front of the rig.

Complete disassembly is not necessary - here are the steps:
Remove the top cover (6 screws) and the front bottom cover (6 screws),
and the 4 screws holding the front panel on the exterior.
There are two screws inside holding the Control Panel and Front panel
together. Peer between those

I have a new headphone jack to put into my rig. I am looking at the manual and
it seems I'll have to take all the boards out (RF, control, options, etc) to
get to the front panel board. Is this right, or is there perhaps an easier way
- like just taking the front panel off straight away?
