If you are using a serial cable for PTT (CONFIG:PTT-KEY), Windows will pulse the DTR and RTS lines during the boot process. 73, ... Joe, W4TV On 11/16/2012 5:54 AM, Joel Black wrote: > To either of you, what is your default sound card? > > I ran into a similar problem while experimenting w

Disregard my previous email. Your situation is different than mine. In my case, the SignaLink was keying, not the K3. In normal operation, I let software key my K3 not the SLUSB. 73, Joel - W4JBB On 11/15/2012 6:09 AM, Mike Harris wrote: > My Dell Win7/64 box keys the K3 seven times in a bur

To either of you, what is your default sound card? I ran into a similar problem while experimenting with Win8 - upon boot-up, the radio would key several times. The SignaLink microphone was the default mic input. I changed it to something else and that problem disappeared. 73, Joel - W4JBB

Bob, Do you have the K3 set to activate either keying or PTT from the DTR or RTS lines (CONFIG: PTT-KEY menu set to something other than OFF-OFF)? If so, the K3 will go into transmit (not TX TEST) when the computer boots up and tests the RS-232 signal lines. What the manual says is that *if*

Howdy K3' people: I have another 'Newbie User' Question. This one regards the fact that I notice when the K3 is already on AND I then turn-on the Windows-7 machine, at some point the rig switches to Xmit. Per the manual, it goes into "Test" mode, and thus, no RF Power. No other "Radio" software
