As I used my K3 on LSB, AM and CW only, wonder if there is a menu setting or
trick to shutting off the unused modes? I'd like to not have to scroll through
them. Would a macro be the way to go here?

You can turn off FM mode (CONFIG:FM MODE).

You could. But since there are MODE UP/DN switches, I think you'll
find that you never need more
with respect to your comments about Mac memories, and lack of software for
the Mac.
What are the K3 software commands that allow you to set and retrieve the memory
settings?
