Hello elecrafters, My K3 equips with KANT3 and no KAT3 is installed at this moment.
At 50.120Mhz, the signal meter on K3 display (pre amp on) only indicated a level of S7 when the signal comes from XG3 set at -73dbm 50uv. However, using the same XG3, it gave a level of S9 when using KRX3 with signal input at the BNC AUX ant input. Using local six meter beacon as reference, the sub receiver hears better the main receiver with a difference of 2 S units. For other bands e.g. 20m or 10m, both the main receiver and KRX3 gave the same signal meter level of S9. Could any of you please advise how I should trouble shoot the 6m section of K3 main receiver? I did all the RF gain calibration by using K3 Utility.
