What's the opinion on BOSE COMPANION 2 SERIES III MULTIMEDIA Speakers for use
with K3 or KX3?
You WILL experience RF getting into them on the upper bands. They sound good
and function well on the lower bands (75 160) but as you move up to the
higher bands...key that mike and begin to
I would strongly recommend using un-amplified speakers with the K3.
There is enough audio drive to handle then nicely. I was fortunate
enough to find a pair of RS Optimist speakers at a thrift store, and
they work great with the K3. Yes, you need a splitter to break out the
left and right
I have a few of those cube speakers left over from my mad days. So, I
picked up an el cheapo rar shack stereo amp and voila, Rcvr A on left
channel, Rcvr B on right channel.
No RF problems yet.
Those who are left handed may consider reversing that !!

Look for a used set or new of the Mackie HR824 powered monitors.
They're better than you need but they will not have Rf issues, at
least they're on my desk with the K3 in-between and I've never heard
anything come through them during 1500 watt transmit.

What's the opinion on BOSE
I have a set of the Bose Companion II. I really like them using them with
my K3 and my computer. They have two inputs so I can listen to either or
both. I have several SDRs I use with my computer to feed audio. The only
time I have experienced RF getting into them is with my AMP at times.
