[Elecraft] K3 cable to Ameritron ALS-1300/ARI-500

Want to use K3 with Ameritron ALS-1300/ARI-500. Ameritron and all dealers out of the cable to interface the K3 to the ARI-500. Cable # RJ-DB15HE. Anyone know of a source for a like cable? I am not capable of making one. Thanks! __

Greetings all, I do not yet have a K3 but monitor the list. I'm trying to help Dale N3BNA, who is currently operating from CX6VM. He is trying to get the ARI500/ALS1300 to work with the K3. It required making a cable with numerous resistors, and currently it is not working except for

The ARI-5000 does not have pull-up resistors on the band data lines. The K3 will require either the Ext Band Data Mods or the updated KIO3 Digital/Remote I/O board if the K3 was shipped prior to 10 Dec 2008 (S/N before approximately 2362). See:

While I wait for my K3 to arrive, I need to make an RS232 cable from the K3 to my computer serial port. Does the K3 require the use of a null modem cable? I assume to control the K3 with Ham Radio Deluxe Logger32, data needs to be transmitted back forth between the rig the software
